Pampered Elites vs. Working Poor

I've talked about New York state's awful anti-fracking stance before.  Check out this video of a new documentary highlighting the divide between rich, anti-development residents (often new residents enjoying a bucolic retirement) and hard-pressed locals.  Especially relish the what an arrogant sh*t this James Northrup is.  Parts one and three here plus much more.  I highly recommend these videos.

I have alot of sympathy for the pro-gas folks here, but ultimately you get what you vote for.  If you want change, you have to tackle the NY legislature in Albany and you've got to win the war versus the urban elites.  So long as the elites' politicians run the show, these poor people are cooked.  If they can't take back control, the only alternative is to leave and start over somewhere else.  You get the government you deserve.
