Having Crippled NY, Unions Go In for the Kill
New York State is effectively bankrupt (but not yet insolvent), and hurtling ever-faster to the fiscal abyss. Our problems are well-known and out in the open, and yet...and yet...you can still read stories like this. There is no getting around this reality, the public sector is at war with private sector citizens and they will stop at nothing to take and take and take what is yours. While there are some sparks of reality within the cesspool that is Albany, Abbate's proposal is more true to the Albany we've come to know, and why, eventually, many more families - quite possibly the Baseball family - will leave New York State.
Maybe there is a trade in this - like the Stupak Short (which was, btw, sa-weeeet). Is there some qunituple-inverse NY state bond ETF, maybe symbol ABTE (for Abbate)??
