Wall Street Wants It's Freedom Back

This is too funny. (Reagan?) Of course, most of us here on Wall Street know that super-rich dudes like Loeb don't really want the policies that Democrats peddle, they only want to be Democrats so that you know they care. In other words, whereas Republicans hate their RINOs, Democrats love their DINOs - they want Democrats who talk the talk but won't upset their sweet apple cart. Wall Street is waking up to the fact that Obama ain't no DINO. The fact that he is clueless about business doesn't help either. I have many friends and associates just like Loeb and I have been telling them not to cry to me - they made their bed. Still, they won't learn, they'll still stick with the Dems in order to move in the best social circles, but they might be a little more circumspect about buying Dems that stay bought in future.

Loeb's letter shows that even the titans of finance are easily bamboozled. After all, if he was the only one, why the public mea culpa? It would also be interesting to know who saw to it that Loeb's letter was aired publicly... and why. No doubt Hillary, with 2 years at State nicely filling the foreign affairs gap in her resume, has already seen it.

As for RINOs vs. DINOs, Republicans care because, unlike the Dems, we are open and sincere about the principles that guide us.

BTW, What's with the G-men? Your Giants are looking terribly modest and UN-intimidating this pre-season. I have a good friend, a trainer and former Olympian from Staten Island, who is a devout Giants fan and one of the most upbeat guys I've ever known, and he is already showing signs of mid-season depression.

One axiomatic principle of Giantdom that I have learned over my many many years following Big Blue is that pre-season indicators are mostly worthless. Lackluster preseasons have preceded great seasons and vice versa. Now this may be true of many teams but I have found it to be especially and uncharacteristically true of the G-men. My basic view is they have the talent to be competitive this year. If everyone is healthy and the new Def Coord is up to the task, they should win 8-10 games.
