Meet Chris Christie's Mini-Me

Chris Christie has created alot of buzz by virtue of his early moves as governor of the profligate, bankrupt, governance disaster otherwise known as the state of New Jersey (boyhood home, btw, of Donny Baseball). He is emerging as a model of what Republican politicians ought to do once they are actually in office, as opposed as what they have been doing over the years. We need Chris Christies at every level of government, and I am heartened to see one emerging on a smaller scale but in a place every bit as profligate, bankrupt and dysfunctional as New Jersey, Westchester County, NY. I've talked about it before (and here), but Rob Astorino is making the same moves as Christie out of the gates and is establishing himself as a mini Chris Christie. If Astorino and Christie can fix these two fiscal disasters, it'll prove that out of control government can be reined in at the levels that it matters, and eventually the good sense will trickle up. Christie and Astorino represent the vanguard of a new, better, and actually vote-deserving Republicanism.
