Dan Henninger posits what ought to be the final word on the subject. More than a money quote, but indeed the distilled essence of the thing: "to consciously turn over Iraq to Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama . . . words fail." Or the economy, for that matter, I would add.

I hope McCain will win, but my brain is telling me otherwise. The energy from the Dems camp scares me. It doesn't look good.
I agree with you. The Dems are energized. But but. When it comes down to it, will the country elect an older (wiser) war-hero white guy with 20+ years in the Senate or a young black guy with 4 years in the Senate (2 spent campaigning)?????????
I really doubt the latter.
