Bad Day for Lebanese Manhood

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni called Tuesday in her Knesset speech to the Prime Minister of Lebanon Fouad Siniora "to wipe away his tears and to start acting in order to create a better future for the citizens for whom he is crying."

Biting...and this from a GIRL!

Do liberals always take bad positions? Are they always wrong? Are there fundamental flaws in liberalism that place it in the same class as communism and fascism?

No. In the course of human affairs it is rare that one side has the virtue and best argument a preponderence of the time. You are getting into the tricky game of labeling but I would say that there are not fundamental flaws in liberalism that render it execrable like communism and facism, but that there are nuggets of what constitutes modern liberalism that are borrowed from communism and facism that render it as a whole subject to severe criticism. And vice versa conservatism. As an example the principal fault of modern liberalism is its moral bancruptcy, its inability to define good versus evil when it comes to the basic question of human worth. Many of liberalism core goals are sprung from the church - helping the poor, feeding the hungry, caring for the sick etc. But also from the church is a basic sense of right and wrong, a moral calculus that would view the eradication of one's peaceable neighbors as morally suspect. Thus is the solid ground of liberalism infected with the coddling of immoral elements. Liberalism has abandoned seeking true peace to be satisfied with the cessation of guns firing while dep hatred is allowed to fester. That is why it should be rebuked.
