Ugh, and I Mean U-G-H !!

I love the Gettysburg Address, as do most Americans. I think, though, that as one studies and learns more about the American Civil War, you love of those 256 (*) words more and more. As a history buff kinda guy, my love is indeed great for that greatest-of-all speeches.

That is why this gives me deep, sharp stomach pains. It'll likely be more like Edward Everett's address - the actual headline event that was the rambling, scholarly journeys that were so cool back then and that nobody knows or cares about today -than like Lincoln's.
