Go Green, Put An Ohioan Out of Work!
Just imagine the cognitive dissonance in the typical leftist's brain when they learn of this. Going green puts people out of work. Actually I bet there isn't any cognitive dissonance. Your typical leftist is probably thinking, "we should mandate people use fluorescent bulbs, and mandate that GE not fire those 1,400 workers."

This is more about "Schumperterian Creative Destruction" than gong green. The incandescents are being replaced by more efficient flourescent and LED light fixtures.
The government banning incandescents or setting efficiency standards without considering the economic impact is a different subject altogether. It's called business-as-usual.
